AFRO WAVES - VIRTUAL CONCERT W/SOUL SCIENCE LAB

This event is part of Carnegie Hall’s Voices of Hope festival.

One of our favorite programs is making a comeback! AFRO WAVES is a concert series that showcases the Black cultural evolution with vanguard artists of the African Diaspora.

We will virtually kickstart this next wave with Brooklyn-based music and multimedia duo, Soul Science Lab (SSL). The group was formed by artist, educator, and creative director, Chen Lo, and multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, Asante’ Amin.

WHEN: SATURDAY, APRIL 24 | 8:00 PM EST TIME

HOW TO WATCH: REVISIT THIS PAGE OR VIEW ON FACEBOOK LIVE & YOUTUBE LIVE TO ENGAGE IN THE EVENT CHAT!

Inspired by the group's debut album, Plan for Paradise, Soul Science Lab brings their hip-hop, jazz, soul and afrobeat filled project to the virtual stage in this special live performance! Conceived as a blueprint for how to navigate and innovate in times like the present moment, SSL revives spiritually positive and affirming messages for this culturally immersive experience. The mix of upbeat grooves and high frequency vibes in this set chronicle progressive insights on social justice, joys, triumphs and transcendence. Join Soul Science Lab for this "Sankofa moment" as we study the past, seize the present and build for a brighter future in this call to action.
