Resources + Statement of Solidarity with Immigrant Communities
In these unprecedented times, the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) stands in solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters facing escalating hostility, displacement, and systemic injustice. As daughters and sons of immigrants, we know migration is an act of survival, resilience, and hope. Committed to cultural equity, historical memory, and tradition, we recognize migration as a defining link in our shared history—interwined with resistance, dignity, and the pursuit of justice.
We are witnessing an unfair and insensitive persecution of immigrant communities fueled by xenophobia and systemic racism. We condemn policies that criminalize migration, separate families, and deny people their dignity and humanity. As an institution committed to cultural equity, racial justice, and historical memory, we reaffirm our responsibility to uplift and empower those displaced and marginalized. CCCADI remains dedicated to creating safe spaces for empowerment and cultural affirmation where immigrant voices are celebrated.
To our immigrant families: You are not alone. Your struggles are our struggles. Your fight for justice is our fight. We stand with you, resist alongside you, and ensure your stories and presence are honored with the dignity you deserve.
With love and resistance,
Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI)
